Online tests are constantly showing up on LiveJournal. Which personality disorders do you have? Which X-Man are you? How goth are thou? The only reason I'm not putting the links are because the tests are so easily accessible (and because I'm lazy and short of time).
We LJers seem to love anything online that has to do with figuring ourselves out, so naturally we take all of them. But I've rarely posted my results because they're so bad. I mean, I didn't want anyone to know that some test said I was 100% Cyclops -- the biggest tool in X-Men history. I'm really
not sure what it says about me that I'll publicly admit to taking a test that diagnosed me as a paranoid borderline dependent histronic but I try to hide the fact that I got compared to a comic-book character. But the one today, I just have to bitch about.Jason's journal
has a link to an Emode test today, What's your theme song?
So since I'm procrastinating anyway, I take the test.
According to Emode, my theme song is Christina Aguliera's "What a Girl Wants."
I wasn't even this insulted when Sophocles
said my theme song should be "Walking on Sunshine" (which was
one of the Emode options and, coincidentally, makes me wonder if Sophocles ever actually listens to anything I say. Okay, so I may be feminine, like the test says (and that's not a bad thing), but that doesn't mean I'm a fucking Barbie doll.
I took it again and changed some answers to try and cheer myself up, and got Abba's "Dancing Queen." Still not me. From the choices they give, I'd pick "All Star," "Born to be Wild," or "I Will Survive" before either of those.
be my theme song? Lately I play "Start the Commotion" by the Wiseguys in my head when I want to psych myself up. When I'm in a mood to wallow, I turn out all the lights and listen to Bob Dylan's "Tangled Up in Blue." I still remember the song I listened to before I went to take the SAT -- "Warehouse" by Dave Matthews Band. It's not really my type of music, but Toni Braxton's "You're Making Me High" was on the radio when I ran my car off our dirt road in the rain when I was still a teenager. I once danced to Mariah Carey's "Hero" with the high-school sweetheart from hell, which might be a tiny part of why I can't stand her (mostly I can't stand her because she sucks. Though she has my sympathies in her recent illness). When my roommate was out of town last weekend, I was dancing around to the Mighty Mighty Bosstones CD "Let's Face It." I like ska and want to hear more of it. I love just about everything They Might Be Giants does, and if you look at my "current music" entries (which are usually just whatever is stuck in my head), half the time it's something by the Barenaked Ladies.
I can't wait to get my stereo hooked up in my new place so I can listen to whatever I damn well please. I'm getting so excited about having my own place... can't wait till all the moving is done!
